About

Hi, I'm Heeyoung (Emily).
With a passion for Human-AI Interaction and digital healthcare,
I am a researcher aiming to design cutting-edge AI technologies
that are intuitive and engaging for users.
Having majored in Comparative Literature and Culture and double majored in Information and Interaction Design, my research interests stem from "what if..." questions that involve imagining how AI can improve access to healthcare, especially mental health.
My research journey so far, from UIC Yonsei to the University of Chicago and NUS, has also been a great opportunity to engage in global collaboration.
With experience working alongside extraordinary minds from around the world, I’m driven to harness AI’s full potential to make digital healthcare smarter, more accessible, and genuinely transformative for all.
